Reception
Fiery, exhilarating, textured and artful is the best way to describe the new-school of Scottish traditional music – and Breabach are, without a doubt, leaders of the pack - Forte Magazine
...rather than showy bravadaccio performance, they are content to allow the songs, words and music, to be the focus. To be able to play it all this well doesn’t need signposting or signalling, it just is - At The Barrier
Scottish folk band Breabach – widely praised for their energetic and accomplished contemporary brand of folk music – make a wonderful return with Fàs - Celtic Music Radio
...one of the UK’s most dynamic and exciting bands - Echo
...one of Scotland’s most exciting and successful folk groups - Royal Liverpool Philharmonic
Fàs is a thoroughly satisfying album that introduces significant new elements to Breabach’s music, but it also confirms they’ve never lost sight of their roots...a fascinating blend of familiarity and innovation - Folk Radio
